How It Works

How SpotyMateDown Works

No installs, no accounts, no waiting rooms. Here is exactly what happens between pasting a link and saving your result — including the honest limits of what any website can do with a Spotify link.

01

Copy a Spotify link

Open Spotify on any device. Go to the song, playlist, album or episode you want, tap the Share button and choose Copy Link. Any open.spotify.com link works — short spotify.link URLs too.

02

Paste & convert

Paste the link into the converter on the homepage, the MP3 page or the Playlist page and press Convert. The tool reads Spotify’s own public data for that link — title, artist, cover art and the track list — and loads the official Spotify preview player.

03

Choose format & save

Pick MP3, WAV or FLAC and a quality (128, 256 or 320 kbps for MP3). Press Download Preview + Track Info and your browser saves a track-info file with the title, artist, album, cover link and your chosen settings. Your last 5 conversions stay listed in your browser for quick access.

What you get

  • Real title, artist, album and cover art
  • Official 30-second preview in the Spotify player
  • Full playlist track lists (up to 200 tracks)
  • A track-info file in your chosen format & quality
  • A private, in-browser history of your last 5 conversions

What no website can do

  • Pull full songs out of Spotify — offline listening exists only inside Spotify’s own app for Premium members
  • Read private playlists
  • Bypass Spotify’s rules — and any site claiming otherwise is not being honest with you

GOOD TO KNOW

Public links only

If a playlist will not load, check that it is set to public in Spotify.

Quality guide

320 kbps for the most detail, 256 kbps for everyday listening, 128 kbps for the smallest info files.

Your data stays yours

Conversions happen in your browser. There are no accounts, and your history never leaves your device.
